Stop remaking my favorite movies! I'm begging you Hollywood. Can you not come up with your own, original ideas? Looks like another 80s movie is falling prey.

Next up is the classic 'Point Break'. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow (Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty) this journey takes us to the world of the Zen type, charismatic, thrill seeking, adrenaline junkie Bodhi played the undeniable Patrick Swayze. Now, sure Keanu Reeves as an FBI agent is a stretch but the action scenes and plot more than makeup for that.

The 80s had some incredible and awesome movies. The list is far too long to even begin to mention here because I would feel bad if I left one out. But these remakes are starting to get old. Now, granted there are numerous movie making advances since that decade, CGI, Steadicam, 3-D and all the digital technology available, but please do me a favor, if you have watched any of these remakes. Please take the time and see the originals

Has ANY 80s movie remade been any good? Let's look at a few of the originals and tell us what you think.

Red Dawn - by the way, what an unbelievable cast: Swayze, Sheen, C. Thomas Howell, Lea Thompson, Jennifer Grey, Powers Boothe and the list goes on. The opening sequence sets the tone for the rest of this epic film.

Karate Kid - Macchio and Morita teaming up to take on the Cobra Kai, run by John Kreese (what a great bad guy). Speaking of bad guys, what would the 80's have been without the all time movie bad guy, William Zabka?

Footloose - Dropping big city Kevin Bacon into the tiny, behind the times town of Bomont is asking for conflict. I actually owned this soundtrack. To quote Ren McCormack 'Let's Dance!'

Wargames - 'Shall we play a game?' Creepy computer simulated voice aside, you have to remember this was 1983. No internet, no cell phones, no laptops, in fact, I think the floppy disk was brand new. David Lightman stumbles onto a U.S. Military war program and almost starts WW3.

What other ones should have never been redone? Is there one you would WANT to see updated? Let us know in the comments section.
