You only turn 60 once, and my sons decided to celebrate my birthday by taking me to Denver for a Colorado Rockies game.

However, you don't really stop to think about when you're going, just that you're going. But springtime in the Rocky Mountains doesn't really give you a second thought and as well all know, Mother Nature has a supreme sense of humor.

Heading to Denver under cloudy skies, we were still able to get some really cool pictures along the way, but we knew pretty quick this was going to be a chilly night to watch baseball. But we didn't care. I know I sure didn't. I was with my boys, celebrating my 60th doing something we have never done before together. Take in a Rockies game.

As an aside, the Rockies lost the game 16-5 but we didn't care, really. We wandered around the ballpark taking it all in, hanging out together, eating a ballpark hot dog and just enjoying a memorable birthday for me.

And when we got home, a beautiful sunset. 60? It ain't that bad, actually.
