With the attention focused on the shootings recently in El Paso and Dayton, WESTWORD recently completed a study that shows 24 mass shootings in the last six years in Colorado, with nine of those happening in Denver.

Most recall the shootings at the STEM school last May as well as Columbine High School and other mass shootings in the state, but there are others many probably never heard of. According to Gun Violence Archives, a mass shooting is one where at least four people are injured or killed.

Distinctions aside, there have been 24 shootings over six years here, which breaks down to one every three months.

Shootings at house parties, club openings, mobile home parks, and other places have seen at least four people injured and at least one or more killed. Senseless, useless violence.

Here are all 24 mass shootings in Colorado.
