The release noted that the operation's timing was to protect "the influx of visitors for the Greeley Stampede event."

"The safety of our citizens and visitors, especially children, is paramount to the Greeley Police Department," read the release. "We would also like to use this operation's success to remind parents of the pitfalls of children being online unsupervised."

GPD is encouraging parents to monitor their children's online usage and to speak to them about the dangers of online predation.
