Today is national "Buy a Musical Instrument Day." When you go out today to buy a new piano, guitar, or harmonica, where do you like to shop?

Western Colorado is home to several excellent music shops. Granted, some deal in $100,000.00 grand pianos, and others sell guitar starter kits including a guitar, amp, strap, and a pick, all at the low, low price of $149.99.

Check out Jan Hart, proprietor of J.B. Hart Music Company on Main Street in Grand Junction, as he holds a guitar belonging to the late Jimi Hendrix. Okay, for our purposes today, we're not talking about priceless collectibles. Our survey is concerned primarily with quality instruments from nationally known brands.
