I was just listening to Blake Shelton's 'Boys 'Round Here' and realized it has a phrase in it that we don't use out here in the West, or maybe we do and I just haven't ever head it before. "As sweet as Dixie Crystals," inquiring minds want to know what this means.

In this line Blake refers to Dixie Crystal:

Dixie Crystals Sugar
Dixie Crystals
loading...

'Yeah, the girls 'round here, they all deserve a whistle / Shakin' that sugar, sweet as Dixie crystal'

What does this mean though? Well, the answer is actually pretty simple!

Blake is obviously referring to complementing the ladies for shaking their patooties because he thinks they are as sweet as "Dixie Crystal" which is a brand of Sugar Products!

It is also a brand of clear plastic wear, but I don't think that's what he's referring to in the song.

Dixie Sugar Company is so excited that Blake included them in his song that they hired an artist to create a portrait of Blake made up entirely of Dixie Crystal sugar varieties. Check it out below!
