I can tell right now I'm not going to make any friends with this statement, but here it goes... I don't really get all that excited about craft beers. Now that we have that out of the way, there are several beers I am interested in sampling at the upcoming Western Colorado On Tap. Here are my top five picks.

Personally, I have very fond memories of sitting around with my grandma, enjoying an ice cold can, yes, I said can, of Coors. Grandma loved Coors, and I grew to like it, too. Obviously, it was a mass produced domestic draft, but we liked it.

While I enjoy the consistency, price, and availability of your typical domestic beer, even I look forward to something new from time to time. Western Slope On Tap offers over 100 craft beers, all in one convenient location.

My top five picks, in no particular order, are:

  • Ouray Brewing
  • Boston Beer
  • Durango
  • Sierra Nevada
  • Wild Blue

When it comes to craft beers, all I ask is that I can drink it, and not have to eat it with a spoon. I sampled some craft beers in San Antonio, and it was like drinking a loaf of bread.

This incredible event is coming up quicker than you think- Western Slope On Tap. Mark it on your calendar, and have your ID at the ready. Come join us for some incredible beer, lots o' live music, and some good times, coming Saturday, March 14, at the Mesa County Fairgrounds.
