The Grand Junction Senior Theatre program is gearing up for another production. If you haven't attended one of their plays before, you should seriously make plans to catch their next show.

Their next production, "The Affairs at Meddler's Top" opens June 15, 2018, at the Robinson Theatre at the Moss Performing Arts Center. Showtimes are:

  • June 15 - 7:00 p.m.
  • June 16 - 2:00 p.m.
  • June 16 - 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Children 12 and under get in free.

This production is directed by the High Desert Opera's very own Jim Werner. You've seen Jim performing and directing, and sometimes conducting, ensembles from High Desert Opera to the Messiah Choral Society of Grand Junction. Hope Chynoweth serves as musical director.

For 20 reasons why you should catch one of their show, or better yet, join the program, look at the gallery above. Look at how much fun these folks are having. Those are from the 2017 production of "HMS Pinafore."

The Grand Junction Senior Theatre is open to volunteers over the age of 50. This amazing group includes actors, musicians, set designers, lighting designers, directors, and more. There's something for everyone to enjoy.

What is required of volunteers? Put simply, a little time, roughly a couple of months of rehearsals, and one weekend to present the play.

Be sure to attend this year's show. You'll be glad you did. As a matter of fact, you'll probably recognize half of the cast. This is a great event for the entire bunch, so don't let it pass you by.
