Think Those Hard Landings are Rough on You? — See What Happens to the Airplane [VIDEO]

Anyone who's flown on a fairly regular basis knows that occasionally you'll have a bone-jarring landing. If you think that kind of landing is rough on you, take a look at the abuse the airplane takes.

Watching this video will make you both cringe and then wonder why the tires don't blow out and the landing gear doesn't just collapse leaving the airplane to finish the landing skidding down the runway.

It's said an airplane's landing gear is designed to withstand this type of hard of a landing in a cross-wind. Still, next time I'm on a plane about to land, I think I'll just close my eyes and hang on tight until it's clear we're safely on the ground with all parts of the plane intact.
