"It was an amazing experience; it was the biggest tour in the music business," Sterban said. "Something very special. It was a learning experience, and helped prepare me for what was to come with Oak Ridge Boys. I was such a big fan of the Oak Ridge Boys. I really wanted to become part of the group. History has proven I made the right decision."

According to Sterban, he chose to leave the King when he was offered a job with the Oak Ridge Boys over the phone.

Over his extraordinary career with Elvis and the Oak Ridge Boys, Sterban has earned the admiration of millions of fans, including some very prominent Country music lovers:

"I have been a huge fan of Richard Sterban and the Oak Ridge Boys for as long as I can remember. So it was great fun for me to discover Richard’s path to stardom in this delightfully written story of his life. I knew about “Elvira” of course, but not about Elvis!" – George H.W. Bush
