Oakland Raiders Being Sued by Their Own Cheerleaders

The Oakland Raiders are a very proud football organization, even though they haven't had a winning season in a while. And thanks to at least one Raiderette, salt is going into that proud wound. Current Oakland Raider cheerleader Lacy T claims that after the silver and black barely-there uniform has come off, they only make about $5 an hour.

Lacy T. told the San Jose Mercury news that as a Raiderette, she was paid $125 per home game which amounts to approx $1250 a year. To make matters worse, if any of the cheerleaders brought the wrong pom poms to practice, they were charged $10 or more, which decreases their pay. Who knew they have separate practice pom poms and game day pom poms?

To make maters worse, they were required to "practice 2 or 3 times per week" without pay. Come to think of it, strippers don't get paid to practice either.

Lacy T is claiming that because of all the promotional events, games, fines for the wrong pom poms, and cheering for a perennial crappy football team, that she should be compensated accordingly. In this situation, I think Forrest Gump said it best "Stupid is as stupid does."

Side note- Broncos legend John Elway is currently married to a former "Raiderette". Proving not all cheerleaders are dumb. Maybe Lacy T can learn something.
