That's right, its March and time to trim that beard you have been growing all winter long and bust out the stache. Spring is on the way and that means its time to get out of hibernation and clean up a little.

I never knew where Mustache March originated until today. I did a little research and found out that Mustache March started in the U.S. Air Force. It was a way for the U.S. Air Force Airmen to retaliate against the no facial hair policy.

It actually started with a man back in Vietnam by the name of Robin Olds A.K.A "Wolf of Kunsan". He grew out a waxed handle bar mustache in Vietnam to retaliate against the U.S. Air Force's no facial hair policy and eventually other Airmen joined in. It was a common superstition among airmen to grow a "bulletproof mustache", but Olds also used his as "a gesture of defiance.
