Man Had Fork in Stomach

Stick a fork in him he's done! According to the Daily Mail a guy with a plastic fork in his stomach had to have emergency surgery to remove the utensil after 10 years!

Apparently the man had accidentally swallowed a the plastic fork 10 years ago after he'd been "playing around" with it.

He was instructed by a doctor to just let the fork pass & he says eventually he forgot all about it until he was rushed to the hospital with severe stomach pain! 45 minutes later, doctors had extracted a black, acid-worn fork that had been scratching his stomach lining!

A hospital rep said, "The plastic had been exposed to stomach acid for ten years but apart from it being black, there was no damage. It didn't melt it down or anything which is remarkable."

This reminds me of the time we out drinking with co-workers when an employee started to choke on his Car Bomb (a Guinness with a shot inside the glass). We all thought he was messing around until he had to be taken to the hospital. We were concerned he had chugged the shot glass but x-rays revealed the bottle cap to my Corona had lodged in his throat! Talk about Miles From Ordinary!

Needless to say I owed him a beer!
