Four weeks ago I received news that I have tumors on my ovaries and the doctors are concerned they could be cancerous.

You all have been part of my family for years and I know many of you are concerned about the health issues I've been having. That's why I'm taking this time to let everyone know what's going on, however some of the following information may be too much for some folks, so consider this your warning: If you don't wanna hear about female stuff, now is the time to click a different page.

This all began months ago when I quit breastfeeding my son Dalton. I hadn't had my cycle while I was nursing and had expected to start back up right away, but after waiting months I had to finally contact my doctor.

Of course there are tons of things that can suppress your cycle: weight, thyroid, cysts, etc. Tests were run to check out all of these causes and everything came back normal. However during the pelvic exam I experienced some pain and my doctor suggested I have an ultrasound to look for cysts on my ovaries.

A week later during the ultrasound they found many LARGE masses on both. While cysts are normal for most women the big concern in my case was the size and the fact that my birth mother is currently suffering from Ovarian Cancer.

When the doctor looked over my results she stepped back and told me,

I'm gonna be completely honest with you, these need to come out as soon as possible.

They of course took blood so they could run every test under then sun and scheduled laproscopic surgery for tomorrow at 7a.

While we waited a week for these blood tests to come back my doctor had an OB Oncologist (Female Cancer Doctor) look at my results and unfortunately she was so concerned about what she saw she ordered CT Scan. (and on the way to the scan I was in a car accident!)

Thankfully the results from my CA125 (cancer test) came back normal along with all my other tests, to which the doctor told me,

Don't get too excited because 50% of cancers don't show up on these tests.

The best news however is that the CT Scan came back normal as well, which means IF it's cancer, it has NOT metastasized (spread) into other organs and all they should have to do is take my ovaries to be rid of it!

Best case scenario the tumors are benign and I will be back Monday.

Worst case scenario they are cancerous and the doctors will take my ovaries and I'll be out 3 to 4 weeks.

While I am terrified to have the surgery I know in my heart that I am in Gods hands and no matter what the outcome He will make good come from it!

Thank you all for your prayers and support!
