Denver is considering banning plastic bag and it could go into effect soon. There are three  City Council members that say they are in the early stages of crafting a bill to ban plastic bags for customers of grocery stores. The Denver City Council had once considered a 5 cent per bag but scrapped it.

Maybe we should all try and bring our own bags to the store made out of cloth. I see more and more people every day bringing their own reusable bags to the store. I am sure it is just a matter of time before plastic bags are completely outlawed.

Right now these are the cities that ban plastic bags Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle all ban plastic bags. Lightweight plastic bags are bad for the environment and blow into the oceans and lakes creating havoc for our marine life.
