Country start Pam Tillis celebrates another trip around the Sun today. So, what has she been up to?

Pam Tillis, born on July 24, 1957, grew up in Nashville with her parents Mel and Doris Tillis. She made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry at the ripe old age of eight, performing "Tom Dooley."

She moved around a little, eventually winding up in California. Eventually, she returned to Nashville in 1979, and spent some time paying dues at the Bluebird Cafe. By the early 1980's, she signed to Warner Bros. Records.

In recent years, Tillis has released her retrospective album, "Recollection," featuring 14 singles from her time at Arista records. In 2007, she launched her own label, Steller Cat Records.

You will no doubt be pleased to know Pam is still touring. She teamed up with fellow 90's Country star Lorrie Morgan for the 'Grits and Glamour' Tour. As a matter of fact, she and Lorrie Morgan have a couple of dates this week.

When not touring, Pam is mother to a grown son, Ben Asher Mason. Happy Birthday, Pam. Thanks for all the great music, and that yet to come.
