Grand Junction Regional Airport Looking to Add Direct Flight to Los Angeles

If you could fly directly to Los Angeles from Grand Junction, would you? The Grand Junction Airport is putting their money on you.
KJCT8 is reporting a task force between the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce and the Grand Junction Economic Partnership to apply for federal funding to expand airline services at the GJ Regional Airport.
The application is due by July 22, including a substantial local match requiring the community to fork over some dough and business services to help put passengers in the seats.
The City of Grand Junction, Mesa County, the City of Fruita and many local businesses are being asked to help with financial support of the new services.
Do you think there would be enough interest in a direct flight from Grand Junction to Los Angeles and vice versa?
