A very popular Western Colorado vocalist has been selected to sing the National Anthem on the opening day of the JUCO World Series.

You've seen this performer many times before at Grand Junction area ballgames, concerts, rodeos, and festivals. Before long, you'll hear him again at one of the biggest annual events in the region.

Who is This Mysterious Grand Junction Singer?

If you've been to a Western Colorado rodeo, music festival, Grand Junction Rockies, or even Country Jam, you've heard John Hendricks sing the Star-Spangled Banner. He sings his heart out.

John Hendricks was Selected to Perform Again at JUCO 2021

JUCO is back for 2021. Yesterday, John sent me a message stating, "I am very excited. The JUCO World Series committee selected me to sing The National Anthem on opening day morning game, May 29th."

Between you and me, I've asked John to sing the National Anthem several times over the last five or six years. To date, he's never asked for anything in return. He's never received a penny, a free ticket, or even so much as a free beverage for his efforts. John LIVES to sing the Star-Spangled Banner!

Check Out John Hendricks' Album of Patriotic Music

John has such a patriotic heart he forked over his own hard-earned money to record the album "For God and Country." The album consists entirely of patriotic and inspirational music.

After a quick search, it appears the album is still available for purchase or download at Amazon.com. Check out the link and you'll notice the album has a five-out-of-five star review.

This is a Good Sign

It's been a while since Grand Junction has heard John perform. For that matter, it has been a while since we've heard anybody perform. Concerts and sporting events are making their way back.

After this 14 month hiatus, you owe yourself a treat. Don't miss John Hendricks performing the National Anthem on the opening day of JUCO 2021.
