On January 24th, 1935, the Gottfried Krueger Brewing Company delivered 2,000 cans of Krueger's Finest Beer and Krueger's Cream Ale to beer lovers in Richmond, Virginia. Beer lover gave it a 91% approval rating, so Krueger put canned beer into production.

My 85-year-old grandmother would tell you that, without any shadow of a doubt, canned Coor's beer is the best beer in the world. No bottled. No tap. Coors in a Can. It was easy to carry around. You could mash the can when it was empty, and not have to worry about what to do with it. If nothing else, dang it, it was in a can!

I, on the other hand, have no use for a canned beer. I actually taste the can when drinking out of it. If I wanted aluminum flavored beer, that's what I would have asked for in the first place.
