CMU’s Mesa Repertory Theatre runs through the month of June

Colorado Mesa University’s Department of Theatre Arts will open its 2015 Mesa Repertory Theatre summer season on June 11th with the contemporary musical, The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown. The musical will run in repertory with Time Flies and other short plays by David Ives and The Stonecutter, a short play for young audiences by Ruth Cantrell, through July 28th in the Mesa Experimental Theatre.

The Last Five Years will be directed by Jeremy Franklin and tells the story of the failed marriage of Jamie, a successful novelist, and Cathy, a struggling actress. Cathy’s story is told in reverse, Jamie’s is told conventionally, moving forward. They meet in the middle at the point of their wedding. The show is Rated PG-13. Show dates are:
