CMU Theatre Department presents Dance Masterclass with Rachelle Rak The Colorado Mesa University Dance Program is bringing in triple threat dancer/singer/actor Rachelle Rak to Grand Junction to choreograph a new work on CMU students and to teach master classes for community dancers and actors. Classes will cover jazz and musical theatre dance as well as performance techniques and audition tips. Actors who would like to move better, singers who want to move with style and confidence, and dancers who want to be great will benefit from these classes. Rak’s Broadway credits include “Fosse,” “Cats,” “Thou Shalt Not,” “Oklahoma!,” “The Look of Love,” “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,” and “Catch Me If You Can.” Her 1st National Tour credits include “Starlight Express” and “Smokey Joe's Café.” She is featured in the film “Every Little Step,” (The making of “A Chorus Line”). In the past year Rachelle has choreographed for Norwegian Cruise Lines, performed in The Jack Cole Project, participated in the workshop for the Broadway revival of “Pippin,” and recently finished touring as Tess in “Flashdance.” This fall Rachelle will be appearing on the Lifetime Channel as a judge on “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition.” For more information contact: Melonie Buchanan Murray 970-248-1390 or mbuchana@coloradomesa.edu
