If you are like me and have an appointment to get your blood drawn for the Grand Valley Health Fair, don't get lost! Thank goodness I gave myself an extra half hour to find the place, because I did- get lost.

I thought I knew where I was going. Really, how hard could it be to find the place? After all, I've lived here most my life. But just to make sure, I had the address and my appointment time emailed to me as a reminder- 2320A North 7th Street.

I put the directions into the GPS in my phone. Little did I know, that really didn't help. I ended up driving around for 15 minutes. I was lost, but I was also close. I finally realized that I needed to be on Bookcliff Ave, not Wellington Ave because you can't get there from Wellington. But you can get there from 7th St, and Bookcliff Ave.

Bottom line, don't make it harder than it is. Coming from the North (Patterson) on 7th St, turn left on Bookcliff Ave. On your left will be a place to pull into the parking lot. Pull in and drive straight. DO NOT turn right. You'll see a building in front of you, turn left into that parking lot. Parking lot Q.

Look at the building on your right. It will be the Farrell Building "A" #32 and that's the one you want. Park your car and you'll see the handwritten signs that say "Blood Draw" and "Grand Valley Health Fair". Follow the signs. Congratulations, you've found it.

After all that, I actually have to go back. By the time I arrived, there was a decent sized line of people. Apparently the computer "had a glitch" that morning and they were backed up for over an hour. I called the phone number given to me by the very nice and informative employee and  was able to reschedule for next week. And I was assured that the wait wouldn't be that long next time.
