Did Putin Steal Super Bowl Ring From New England Patriots Owner Kraft

The owner of the New England Patriots, Robert Kraft has made international headlines by accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday (6/16)!

Of course Putin denies the claim, but the fact is Kraft's Super Bowl ring is currently on display in the Kremlin!

Putin says it was a gift but Kraft contends that he stole the Super Bowl ring.

The New York Post published a story quoting Kraft at an awards gala on the 13th: He was talking about his 2005 meeting with Putin, saying,

I took out the ring and showed it to [Putin]. And he put it on and he goes, 'I can kill someone with this ring.' I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out.

Kraft said he'd wanted the ring back, but the White House intervened and said it would be in the interest of U.S.-Russian relations to claim it was a gift!

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Kraft's business ventures said the article shouldn't be taken too seriously, stating, "It's a humorous, anecdotal story that Robert retells for laughs. He loves that his ring is at the Kremlin... "
