So far we have looked at a couple of Twin Cities for Grand Junction and one for Fruita. Now, thanks to Corrine from the KEKB Facebook page, here is Clifton, New Jersey.

So far on our search for Grand Valley Twin Cities, this is biggest population-wise, we have come across. Clifton, New Jersey is home to more than 84,000 residents. It became established April 26, 1917. Well, technically is was known as Acquackanonk Township before that date. I think they made the right choice to change it.

Clifton, New Jersey has been featured in a couple of very familiar television shows and movies.

Donnie Brasco, starring Johnny Depp and Al Pacino was partially filmed there.

Plus, the Clifton High School, Valley Regency, Main Memorial Park and the Upper Montclair Country Club were all routinely used in filming the HBO show 'The Sopranos.'

Clifton, New Jersey also lays claim to some famous residents. Here's a handful to get you started.

  • Boxer -Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter
  • Former WWE superstar -Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka
  • William Staub -inventor of the home treadmill
  • David Chase -Creator of 'The Sopranos'
