Today's Tip-According to my elderly neighbor after you've cleaned you're fridge sprinkle baking soda in the crisper drawer and line it with cheesecloth to absorb odors.

Shepherd's Pie Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Hamburger
  • Onion, diced- (I use onion powder)
  • Small can of Tomato Paste
  • 1 can Corn-optional
  • 1 can Green Beans-optional
  • Shredded Cheese-your choice
  • Instant Potatoes-your choice of flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Cook hamburger & onion.
  3. Stir small can of tomato paste and a little water into meat until gravy consistency
  4. Pour into a sprayed 9x13 casserole dish
  5. Top with corn and green beans
  6. Sprinkle with shredded cheese
  7. Cover with mashed potatoes (prepared as directed on package)
  8. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes
