Women in Red Attract Men But Seen as Threat to Other Women
If red is your favorite color to wear, then you'll be interested to know the color is appealing to men but sends an entirely different message to women.
A study conducted by the University of Rochester and published in the New York Post indicates women wearing red are perceived as a sexual threat to other women. As a result, those women find themselves wanting to guard their guy from the perceived threat.
According to Adam Pazda, who headed the study,
When women are out in red and they are getting the cold shoulder from other women … they are giving off the perception of a romantic competitor.
The study found women who see another woman dressed in red feel she is highly interested in sex. The women in red also received more derogatory comments from the study's participants indicating the color of clothing a woman wears really is important.
