Woman Stabbed at Apartment Complex in Grand Junction

A woman was stabbed at an apartment complex off of Orchard Avenue in Grand Junction this afternoon and the Mesa County Sheriff's Office is now investigating it.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office responded to an assault report today, June 22, around 1:15 p.m. according to their Facebook. The stabbing incident occurred on 2900 of Orchard Avenue at the 29 Mile apartment complex.

When officers got the 29 Mile apartment complex aka Racquet Club apartments, which is on the intersection of Orchard Avenue and 29 1/4 Road, they found a woman injured. The adult female had stab wounds and was taken to the hospital.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is asking everyone to avoid this area. The woman was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and there's no word on her condition. According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office Facebook, witnesses are currently being interviewed and no one is in custody.
