Starting on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, the 104th annual Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival kicks off with the Opening Ceremonies and the Speed and Flight Night Competitions. 

Things continue Thursday with a variety of event for the entire family like the Parent-Child Duals and the Air Bag Jam sessions. Friday starting at 10:00 a.m. with the Soda Pop Slalom for those under 13. They will also host a Snow Sculpture contest and various Jump Competition for all skill levels.

Saturday morning begins with the Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast and then events on the streets of downtown, including the ever popular Ski-joring. This wrap-up Sunday morning with more street competitions including Shovel Races and even more skiing or boarding behind horses.

The weekend wraps up with the must-see ski jumping event with participants launching off of the HS127 “Big Hill” on alpine skis, rather than normal jump skis. You can get the entire schedule of events here.
