If you're feeling a little cabin fever, here's one suggestion to get out and have fun.

This weekend is the Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival and it sure is a lot of fun. After 106 years, you know they have it perfected.

Fun events like the Donkey jump, for example, keep people coming back year after year. The donkey jump isn't jumping donkeys. Oh no. Kids get pulled by a horse down the snow-covered street to a small jump that will sometimes send them 40 or 50 feet away, laughing the whole time.

Howelson Hill gets lit up with skiers doing flips and turns while the one thing everyone looks forward to, the Lighted Man, skiing downhill with a backpack strapped on his back, sending roman candles flying and hearts racing.

Winter Carnival buttons are required to attend and some events are ticket only events, so make sure you check to see what events you want to enjoy watching. After seeing that video, I think I know what I'm going to do this weekend.

Hope to see you there.
