When a community like Windsor comes together they share good times and bad times side by side. Unfortunately, on Labor Day a happy moment at the Harvest Festival Parade turned into a tragic, heartbreaking moment when 8-year-old Brycen Zerby was hit by a float.

Brycen was taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies with his parents. Shortly after arriving he was pronounced dead.

Generations Church was part of the parade, and believed to be the float that hit Brycen. It has been unclear if the he was on the float and fell off, or how it exactly happened.

Generations Church has confirmed the boy and his family were part of their church family, and was a participant in the parade. They are asking the community to pray for strength.

A tweet by the Windsor Severance Fire Rescue will be offering counseling services for anyone in need:

According to 9 news in Denver a GoFundPage has been set by Clear Water Products which the boy's father works. What an incredibly sad day for this beautiful family. Our hearts and prayers go out to them!
