Adults around the world are taking up coloring. You know, coloring, as in coloring books. Will 2016 be the year you explore this relaxing hobby? If so, the Mesa County Library will be offering coloring gatherings for adults, and you should consider participating.

For the record, "adult coloring books" does not imply coloring books containing mature material not suitable for children. Not at all. Adult coloring books are simply that; books with pictures to be colored by people of an adult age.

The Mesa County Central Library at 5th Street and Grand Avenue in Grand Junction is offers a coloring group for adults starting Thursday, January 14, 2016, at 6 pm.

What better way to escape from the burdens of the real world? All you need are coloring books, colored pencils, and your imagination. Don't have a coloring book or pencils? Don't worry, those materials will be provided by the library.

Make 2016 the year you get your stress under control, do something creative, and have a little fun in the process. Give some consideration to participating in adult coloring.
