Not much, pretty much all you need is the ability to cook, and the cooking utensils needed to make three to five gallons of chili. Interested? KEKB is seeking a qualified chili cook for this Saturday's chili competition at the annual Southwest Arbor Fest, and it could be you!

Tom spent most of his life in the Army and never really learned to cook. He and Waylon are both bachelors and don't own a saucepan between two of them. So, KEKB is seeking someone who could whip up an award winning chili and represent the station in this year's competition.

KEKB will pick up the bill for the ingredients. We'll also pick up the registration fee and provide the table and all other necessities. Your job is to provide the culinary expertise.

So, what's in it for you? For starters, the trophy if you win. Secondly, we'll throw in some goodies for your time and trouble.

The 14th Annual Southwest Arbor Fest is coming to Lincoln Park this Saturday, April 18, from Noon to 5PM. In addition to the chili competition, there are several other fun events to enjoy:

  • Jalapeno eating contest
  • Free Arbor Day seedlings
  • Touch A Truck
  • Live music with Jack + Jill, The Conifer, and Toaster Band.

This year's event also includes beer tasting. If you would like to sample the beer at the event, there is a $20 charge.

Let Tom and Waylon know if you would like to be the official KEKB chili cook. Email us at kekb@townsquaremedia.com, or call the studio at 970-243-FM99.
