Western Colorado’s Best Bet for ‘National Drink a Beer Day’
Happy National Drink a Beer Day. There you go, the only excuse you need to go out and enjoy a delicious beer at a Western Colorado establishment. Where's the best place to celebrate?
Yes, it's true. Today, Friday, September 28, is recognized as a very important day in America. Don't be confused, this isn't one of those lesser holidays like National Beer Day. This is the real deal. The day even outshines New Beer's Eve.
Munich's Oktoberfest serves as a prelude to this special occasion. I've been to Munich in the middle of February. Even then, the locals consider it "Drink a Beer Day." That could any day of the week, 365 days a year in Munich. Let's see if we can keep up here in the good ol' USA.
Earlier this year, you were asked to vote on the best place in Western Colorado from which to celebrate New Beer's Eve. The votes poured in, pun intended. The results were about as lopsided as any in voting history. Here's what you had to say:
Wow! Check out Clifton's Triple Tree Tavern. This must be the place to go. Come to think of it, the last beer I had was at the Triple Tree Tavern. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but the Goodman Band was playing, so I thought I would stop by. A beer seemed to be in order. As I recall, it was very good.
Coming in a close second was Palisade's Livery Saloon. They serve a good beer, too. I believe I had one there about a year ago.
If you're heading out to celebrate tonight, put this research to good use. I'm sure a Bud Light at one bar is pretty much the same as the next. In any event, this is what you had to say. Happy National Drink a Beer Day.
