Get ready for the return of horse racing in Grand Junction! Heading to the track to see the races used to be a common occurrence in Western Colorado. That has faded away. Get set for racing's return by traveling back in time a few decades to the days of races at Uranium Downs with these Bob Grant photos.

If you lived in Western Colorado in the 1970s and 80s, you probably went to Uranium Downs every Saturday for the races. Bets were $2.00 back then. My grandfather, Bob Grant was there every week.
