Updated List of Recalled Foods Western Colorado Should Be on Lookout For
The list of recalled food items is getting longer and longer by the minute. News first broke when certain "dessert" foods were potentially contaminated. Now, the list includes frozen "TV" dinners. Here's a partial list Western Colorado residents should keep handy.
Late last night, 9News.com announced Hungry Man Chipotle BBQ Sauced Boneless Chicken Wyngz (good night... that's a long name) in the 15.25 oz size with a 'best by' date of 9/6/19 might be affected. Please note, this item has not officially been recalled. It simply contains a similar product found in other items on this recall list.
Where Hungry Man dinners are concerned, there is a little good news. The packages which may be affected where shipped to locations other than Colorado. That, however, is not the case with many other items.
Here's a partial breakdown of the recalled foods:
Four varieties of Pepperidge Farms Goldfish Crackers
- Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheddar
- Flavor Blasted Sour Cream and Onion
- Goldfish Baked with Whole Gran Xtra Cheddar
- Goldfish Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel
The following brands of Flower Foods Swiss Rolls:
- Mrs. Freshley's
- Food Lion
- Baker's Treat
- Market Square
- Great Value
An incredibly long list on Ritz Crackers
Hy-Vee Spring Pasta Salad
Zetsy Sprouting Mix
Honey Smacks Cereal
- Pre-cut watermelon
- Pre-cut honeydew melon
- Fruit medley products
This list was updated on July 25, 2018.
Please take a moment to check your cabinets and refrigerators for these products. Granted, it can be a pain checking the batch numbers and "best by" dates. A little precaution goes a long way.
