Tree Climbing Championship in Grand Junction

It's happening this morning at 7:30 a.m. at Lincoln Park. You have got to see this in person.

For the first time, Grand Junction is hosting this championship event. It is being put on by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture. Wow, say that three time fast. Check out the story from KKCO News.  

Believe it or not, this is an actual sport. Maybe not as common as baseball or football of course, but the competitors say it can be just as physically and mentally challenging.

The event runs into Saturday afternoon and is free to the public. Five different events will challenge the climbers as they take to the trees.

I just hope the birds don't freak out!
