Top Complaints of Marijuana Users
It's legal here in Colorado. So, what's the complaint?
Don't believe everything you read but don't dismiss it all either. That's kind of where I am with this article I found on the internet.
The people at Reddit went about and collected stories from marijuana users, regular to heavy users, to see if these people would report any negative side effects from their experience with smoking pot. Here is what they found:
- Loss of appetite. This occurs when NOT using. Some reported they were hungry only when high.
- Lung Collapse. Ouch, sounds pretty serious. Never medically connected to pot smoking, but possible with HEAVY users.
- Breathing problems. Although studies have shown pot does not necessarily affect lung health, it can bring on issues such as coughing and shortness of breath.
- Trouble focusing/Fuzzy memory. THIS one I can believe. However, researchers usually claim that people with already poor cognitive function are more likely to smoke pot. That stings.
- Anxiety and Paranoia. This one actually has a lot of scientific data to support it. Some reports of people quitting pot because of the extreme paranoia.
Again, this is not a scientifically based research study. It was simply a poll of people who liked to smoke a lot of pot. Take that for what it's worth.
