Three People Survive Plane Crash Near Silt, Colorado
Yesterday afternoon, Sunday, January 31, the authorities, including the Garfield County Sheriff's Office and Colorado River Fire Rescue, were notified about a plane crash that happened near Silt, Colorado. Three people were onboard the aircraft at the time of the crash and thankfully, all three survived.
According to the Post Independent, one of the survivors was able to get free of the wreckage and call for help on her cell phone. Colorado River Fire Rescue responded to the plane crash at around 2:30 on Sunday afternoon near Chair Bar Road.
The plane crash happened in a remote location with difficult terrain so crews hiked in to assess the damage, according to the Post Independent. All three survivors were air flighted from the scene, thanks to CareFlight of the Rockies and Classic Air Medical.
