A simple haircut turned my whole day around. That and this sign.

Mondays are Mondays, right? Well, I was having one of those Mondays when I went to get a quick little trim on my receding hairline. The lady's name was Heidi and the hair shop was near 3rd and North Avenue.

I was a first timer, so I didn't know what to expect. Well, I learned she is from North Dakota. Me being from Wisconsin, we had plenty to chat about. Especially how much we both love it here and how NEITHER of us miss those brutally cold midwestern winters.

I did feel better, but it was when I looked at the white board she had hanging in the shop, that's when my day turned around for the better. How can you NOT stop and laugh when you read this:

'It's better to have hope in your soul, than to have soap in your hole.'

That pretty much sums it up, doesn't it?
