The Top Five Most Livable Cities in America Are in Colorado
We in Colorado knew we were good, we just didn't know we were that good.
According to the financial website SmartAsset, the top five most liveable mid-sized cities in America are right here in Colorado. The criteria used to determine the top cities took into account household income, employment, commute time, poverty rate and income inequality.
The top five are:
1- Arvada, Colorado
2- Centennial, Colorado
3- Westminster, Colorado
4- Highlands Ranch, Colorado
5- Thornton, Colorado
Across the country, there were 226 mid-sized cities that made the list, but having the top five in Colorado gives us some bragging rights nationally.
The Colorado cities at the top were fairly close in most of the criteria. Highlands Ranch had the highest yearly income of the five at $124,795 while Arvada, the top city, showed a very strong economy and low unemployment. All five of the mid-sized cities were very close to the unemployment rate, income, and housing costs.
It's always satisfying when others find out what we already knew.
There is no place better to live than in Colorado.
