The Larimer County Fair PRCA Rodeo is a no-go this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a press release from The Ranch, the Larimer County Rodeo Board decided to cancel the event because of recommendations from local and state health officials.

The fair's carnival, vendors, food booths, entertainment, Fair Parade, and pancake breakfast are also cancelled.

However, the event will still include 4-H livestock competitions, livestock auctions, and virtual activities.

This is the first year that the Larimer County Fair, which has been around since 1912, has had to cancel the PRCA Rodeo.

In years past, the rodeo featured world-renowned bullfighters, rodeo clowns, the crowning of the Rodeo Queen, and the Hall of Fame Stock Contractor - Beutler and Son Rodeo Company.
