Slowly the Greenback Cutthroat is being reintroduced to the rivers and streams fo Colorado. Once thought to be extinct they found that there was a small creek just near Colorado Springs that contained the Greenback Cutthroat. Check out the video of the Greenback Cutthroat in Bear Creek Colorado.

The Greenback Cutthroat is still on the endangered list but efforts are being made to spawn and restock some of the lakes and streams. Hopefully one day we will see our lakes and streams full of the fish native to Colorado and a few places in Wyoming. The Greenback Cutthroat can grow to 18 inches long and despite its name really doesn't have that much green on them.
