If you are ready for an amazing 5-hour road trip, hop in your car, buckle up at let's go.

Bryce Cayon National Park is just five hours west of Grand Junction, yet so many people have never been there. The main reason for this has to be because they simply don't know what they are missing.

The best way I could describe Bryce is to think of the Colorado National Monument. Imagine something that is nearly twice as large and even more scenic. That would get you on the way to understanding exactly what you will find at Bryce Canyon National Park.

There are lots of options available to you depending on how much time you have. You can simply take the scenic drive through the park and visit the pullouts and parking lots to stop and take photos. If you have more time and like to hike there are plenty of hiking opportunities ranging from moderate to strenuous. They even have a couple of overnight hikes you could do.

Most people are likely to enjoy Bryce Canyon the way you would the Colorado National Monument. Take the leisurely drive, get out of the car and just gaze at the beauty and wonder of the park, and take lots of pictures.

Here's a look at some photos I took from a recent trip through Bryce Canyon National Park. The photos are okay, but it's nothing like actually being there.
