A Clifton man was arrested after threatening to shoot St. Mary’s Hospital staff members.

KJCT is reporting that Eddie James Ellis, 44, of Clifton, was arrested and booked on charges of Obstructing Emergency Medical Services, Harassment and Prohibited Use of a Firearm.

Grand Junction Police Department responded to a call at St. Mary’s Hospital where a man became upset in regards to the care his child was receiving and threatened to get his gun to shoot St. Mary’s staff.

The Arriving officers received the description of the man from St. Mary’s security discovered that he may have gone to Community Hospital.

Officers went to Community where they found the male exiting his vehicle, walking towards the public ER entrance, where they found the man with an empty holster strapped to his belt.

Upon searching his vehicle they found two concealed handguns.
