It is March, and therefore Spring Break is coming up. What will your kids do for Spring Break while you are at work? The Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Department has a bunch of things for your young ones to get involved with since they are not yet old enough to head to the beaches for Spring Break 2015.District 51 will be on Spring Break for two weeks this year from March 21st to April 5th. That is two long weeks for your kids to be sitting around doing nothing. The GJ Parks and Rec office has lined up a bunch of great activities for you to get your kids involved in.

Some of the activities include:

Just Add Kids: Exercise your brain and body with all-day fun and activities at locations around the Valley, including Spin City, Glacier Ice Arena, Freeway Bowl, and more!  Care is on weekdays from 7:30am-5:30pm.  Daily fee: $34

Bookcliff Activity Center: The BAC is hosting extended drop-in sports times throughout the break.  Basketball, volleyball, and table tennis will be available.  Hours: 9:30am-2:30pm.  Daily fee: $2.00

Indoor Rock Climbing Camp: Regardless of climbing experience or ability, your kids will love this week-long camp at Grand Valley Climbing!  Climbers will focus on safety, problem-solving, personal development, and most importantly, FUN!  Camp runs March 23-27.  Fee: $189 (10am-3pm); additional extended care from 8am-5pm: $34

Orchard Mesa Community Center Pool: The OM Pool will offer extended public swim times throughout both weeks of Spring Break, so come swim, slide, and splash the day away!   Admission: Youth: $3.50; Adult $4.75; Senior: $3.50.  Water slide: $1 additional

Monday: 11:30am-7:30pm

Tuesday: 1:30-5:00pm

Wednesday: 1:30-7:30pm

Thursday: 11:30am-5:00pm

Friday: 1:30-7:30pm (Discounted admission: $2.50/swimmer)
