Alright, you guys, who did this? Even this Grand Junction fixture is taking the mask mandate seriously.

There I was, minding my own business at last Thursday's (September 3, 2020) Market on Main in downtown Grand Junction. Suddenly, something seemed a bit odd. At first, I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Before long, though, it became abundantly clear.

Someone had made the effort to insure Grand Junction's Chrome on the Range, the chrome buffalo artwork at Wells Fargo bank at 4th and Main, had a face mask.

Please keep in mind, per city ordinance, face masks are currently mandatory at the Market on Main. As you can, Chrome on the Range is happy to comply.

This must have been a serious effort. That's a big statue. A store-bought mask simply won't do.

The chrome buffalo is one of over 200 Colorado attractions and oddities listed by RoadsideAmerica.com. Chances are you've probably had your photo taken next to this statue at least once. The buffalo has also been known to wear a Santa hat at Christmas time.

If you get the chance, make your way to this Thursday's (September 10) Market on Main and make sure his mask is still on and fitting properly. It would be interesting to see how long this lasts.
