Sleeping Woman Bit By Bat
Close your windows and hopefully, you won't get bitten by a bat. A woman in Aprahoe County was sleeping in her bed when she felt something bite her she felt a sharp pain and then she saw a bat flying around.
Linda and George Prause were both sleeping when Linda felt a sharp prick on her finger. Now both are going through rabies shots. Officials at Tri-County hope to find the bat to be able to test it .
According to the Tri-County Health Department rabies is increasing along with the front range and you can never be too careful. Rabies is transmitted through salvia after a bite. Skunks and bats can carry rabies if a skunk is out in the daytime something may be wrong with the skunk or if a bat is out during the day. Any animal can be infected if bitten by a rabid animal.
