Until the suspects have been caught, be careful on the Grand Mesa. Residents have been warned to be on the lookout while the suspects are in hiding, and fall color seekers need to be on the lookout as well. 

Late Wednesday night, October 5, shooters targeted the Grand Mesa. The reason is unknown at this time. Three people were injured and hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The three suspects are considered armed and dangerous. The Mesa County Sheriff's Department described the suspects as 23-year-old Treavun Faison, who is 6 foot and about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black and white sports shoes. The second suspect is described as a darker complexioned man who is about 5'9"-6'1" tall. He was last seen wearing sweat pants.The third suspect is said to be a black or Hispanic man, about 5'7". He has a thin build, wearing blue colored clothing.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Department has advised the public not to approach the victims. If you see them, call 911.

It is unclear what caused the shooting and an investigation is underway.
