Shooting in Grand Junction Closes 29 Road
A shooting that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning found 29 Road closed between Teller and Texas Avenue.
The shooting occurred at a home just off 29 Road which resulted in 29 Road being closed for several hours while authorities investigated what occurred.
Grand Junction Police, as well as the Mesa County Sheriff's office, responded to the incident at around 4 a.a. Tuesday but at this time have not released any other information concerning the incident.
Police responded to a report of a man walking in the road with facial injuries, possibly caused by the shooting. He was conscious and breathing when contacted by police and was transported to the hospital.
No lockdowns or shelter in place was ordered due to the incident which is still under investigation at this time.
