See Where To Honor Veterans Day In Western Colorado

Western Colorado is ready to bring out the flags and remember all those who have served the citizens of the United States. From the Western Slope Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Fruita to Grandview Cemetery in Montrose, local communities will blend reflection and Western Slope unity.

Whether you’re attending a parade, pausing at a memorial, or simply flying a flag from your porch, this Veterans Day offers plenty of ways to show support.

Veterans Day Events in Western Colorado (2025)

• Western Slope Vietnam Veterans Memorial Ceremony
  Where: Fruita, CO (off I-70 near the Colorado Welcome Center)

  When: Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 11:00 a.m.
  Mesa County honors all who served during a morning ceremony at the Western Slope Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Veterans' service organizations will
  host resource tables before and after the ceremony for those seeking assistance or connection.
• Delta County Veterans Day Honors – Cedaredge, CO
  Where: Cedaredge High School Gymnasium – 575-SE Deer Creek Trail.
  When: Tuesday, November 11, at 10 AM.
  VFW Post 9221, Cedaredge Middle School, and Cedaredge High School will come together to honor veterans with a special assembly in the gymnasium.
  Mark Yaylor, Delta County Sheriff, will be the guest speaker. All veterans who live in Delta County are welcome to attend.
• Veterans Day Ceremony – Grandview Cemetery, Montrose, CO
  Where: Cemetery, 16300 6450 Rd, Montrose, CO 81401

  When: Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 11:00 a.m.
  Hosted by the local VFW post and the City of Montrose, this solemn ceremony is open to the public and honors veterans from
  all branches of service. City officials and local veterans will speak, followed by a wreath-laying and moment of silence.

Alpine Bank: Various branches across Western                                                            Closure Details: The bank states that it will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in observance of Veterans Day.
